Ewokwars

Ewokwars was created for the lecture “Praxis der Spiele Entwicklung”. The requirements for the prototype was to create a game with XNA which should had different game states and an example level.

We decided to create a 2D Zelda style game. The hero in our game was an Ewok who searches the killer of his jedi friend.

I was responsible for the graphics of the Ewok, Stormtrooper and the Battle droid. Futher I also created the behavior of the Stormtrooper and was responsible for the functionality of the Ewok and the lightsaber and I  implemented the whole collision.

 

Function of the Prototype:

  • 2 Enemies
  • Stormtrooper: Blocks the way
  • Battle droide: Follows the Ewok
  • Lightsaber: Used to kill the enemies Each hit costs energy so it is not possible to spam the sword
  • Portal: Used for transition between the rooms
